Milescraft 1314 DrillPump750
The Milescraft drill pump is the best in the market. It is ergonomically designed and extremely lightweight making it easy to transport and store.
It is capable of self-priming up to 12 ft., and had built in ¾’’ holes that will fit your standard garden hose.
I really like the look of this drill pump. It is ergonomically designed with a silicone that is lightweight but sturdy and strong.
With regards to shank compatibility this drill pump has a 3/8’’ shank. This will fit and work with all common cordless or corded drill chucks.
One thing I did not like about this drill pump is that the internal impeller blades are made up of plastic, so when pulling water that is muddy or has larger particulate matter, they can often get damaged. This is something you should look out for if you consider purchasing this tool.
Funny thing though is that some buyers said they were able to use it to pump concrete. So the issue then will be sporadic particles travelling at a high velocity, such as small rocks in water.
With that being said however Milescraft really consider and take care of their customers. They have a 2 year product warranty and the drill pump is capable of pushing through 750 gallons per hour.
If you are in the market for a real sturdy drill pump, that is robust and proven you cannot go wrong with the Milescraft selection. It is truly the best drill pump on the market.
Best Drill Pump (Quick Summary Overview)
In a rush. No worries. I have provided a summary below of the best drill pump options.
I am well aware that not everyone has the time to be reading long blog posts on drill pumps.
However if you are one of those people who enjoy details - I have catered for you as well, please continue reading the rest of the article.
Why This Guide For Best Drill Pump
Let’s face it water is an amazing natural resource, it moisturizes the garden, can be used to clean equipment and it can activate things like Portland cement helping any DIYer build their dream cottage or home.
However, as you are well aware there are moments when water can either accumulate heavily on different surfaces or you may want to move water from a catchment area/drain/pool to another area.
There are many ways in which you can achieve this, and more often than not these require large pumps that connect to mains power supply to create the suction force necessary to move large amounts of liquid.
This is were a handy drill pump comes into play.
With a handy drill pump you can very easily connect two pipes from one end to the other, attach a cordless or corded drill and start applying torque hence displacing whatever liquid you had originally intended to move.
However a quick search online can often leave you very confused. What really makes a good drill pump? How would you know were to even start when searching for the perfect fit.
That is were I come in, I understand these frustrations and have gone on to search the internet, digging through tons of datasheets and product reviews to provide you with what I feel are the best drill pumps available on the market.
Furthermore, I keep this guide updated on a consistent basis ensuring that you are always receiving the best.

What Are The Important Considerations For The Best Drill Pump
When choosing a drill pump there are a couple of considerations that you should think about before committing to the purchase. These are described below.
Pump rate
You should understand the flow rate and whether it is capable of operating through different types of liquids.
You will often find that the impeller blades have been designed to only handle water on certain drill pumps, whereby on other’s they have been designed with nitrile and can handle all kinds of liquid including hot oil from an oil dam such as found in the air compressor environment for example.
Compatibility with the chuck
This sounds standard.
However you will be surprised as to how often even seasoned DIYers forget to check this out and figure out later that the drill pump does not actually fit the chuck of the corded or cordless drill that they have at home.
Most of the top drill pumps in this guide are compatible with the standard 3/8’’ chuck, but if you decide to purchase from elsewhere please ensure at the very least your drill’s chuck will be compatible with the drill pump you are buying.
